Topic 4: Visit to Mysore
Instructions: An audio and a conversational text (QA) is provided here. It is a conversation between two friends about a trip to Mysore. The purpose of this exercise is to assess your proficiency and level of understanding. Listen to the audio carefully. Play it a second time, and underline the key words listed at the end of the conversation. Afterwards, try to complete the activities. Use a web dictionary such as shabdkosh.com to find out the meanings of new words. The conversation may be practiced by two students- who can act as Neha and Aryan. Parents may also role play with their children to practice this conversation.

आर्यन : नमस्ते नेहा! आप कैसी हैं?
नेहा : मैं ठीक हूँ। आपके हाथ में यह क्या है?
आर्यन : यह मेरी मैसूर यात्रा की तस्वीरें हैं
नेहा : आप मैसूर कब और किसके साथ गये थे?
आर्यन : मैं इन गर्मियों की छुट्टीयों में मेरे माता,पिता,भाई और चाचा-चाची के साथ मैसूर घूमने गया था ।
नेहा: अच्छा! मैसूर कहाँ है?
आर्यन: मैसूर भारत के दक्षिण में है। मैसूर को महलों का शहर भी कहते हैं।
नेहा: मैसूर को महलों का शहर क्यों कहते हैं?
आर्यन: क्योंकि यहाँ बहुत सारे सुंदर महल है। यह देखो तस्वीरें!
नेहा: यह कौन सा महल है?
आर्यन: यह मैसूर महल है। मैसूर महल बहुत बड़ा और सुन्दर है।
रात के समय महल पर रोशनी होती है।
नेहा: यह कौन-सी इमारत है?
आर्यन: यह ललिता महल है। यह मैसूर का दूसरा सबसे
बड़ा महल है। यह सफेद रंग का है।
नेहा: इस इमारत का नाम क्या है?
आर्यन: यह जगनमोहन महल है।
यह मैसूर की सबसे पुरानी इमारतों में से एक है।
नेहा: यह कौन सा महल हैं? क्या यह उपवन है?
आर्यन: नहीं, यह एक महल है। इसका नाम दरिया दौलत बाग है।
इसे टीपू सुल्तान ने बनवाया था। यह कावेरी नदी के तट पर है।
नेहा: यह कौन-सी जगह है?
आर्यन: यह मैसूर का वृंदावन उद्यान हैं। यह बहुत सुन्दर हैं।
नेहा: हाँ,वृंदावन उद्यान तो बहुत सुन्दर हैं!
आर्यन: रात के समय यहाँ संगीत वाले फव्वारे भी होते हैं।
नेहा: मैसूर बहुत सुंदर है।
आर्यन: हाँ! मुझे मैसूर बहुत अच्छा लगा मेरे परिवार के साथ
घूमना मुझे बहुत पसंद है।
