हिमा दास पहली भारतीय महिला है जिसको 400 मीटर दौड़ में
स्वर्ण पदक मिला। फिनलैंड में “विश्व अंडर 20 चैंपियनशिप 2018”
में हिमा दास ने स्वर्ण पदक जीता था। हिमा ने पूरी रेस 51.46
सेकंड में पूरी की थी ।
भारत के राष्ट्रपति श्री राम नाथ कोविन्द ने हिमा दास को “अर्जुन अवार्ड”
दिया ।
हिमा दास भारत के असम राज्य से है।
हिमा का परिवार गरीब था। उनके पिता के पास केवल दो बीघा जमीन थी । उनके पिता धान की खेती करके पूरे परिवार को चलाते थे ।
परिवार में चार बच्चे थे। हिमा सबसे छोटी थी।
हिमा के पास दौड़ने के लिये अच्छे जूते भी नहीं थे ।
बचपन में हिमा फुटबॉल खेलती थी। हिमा दास बचपन से ही बहुत मेहनती थी। हिमा दौड़ने का अभ्यास करती थी। पहले खेतों की जमीन में दौड़ती थी।पहाड़ों में दौड़ना उसको पसंद है।
इसलिये वह कभी थकती नहीं थी।
