Your language program has been selected by our America’s Languages Fellows, experts in the field, to showcase at least one outstanding aspect of your program that merits recognition at the national level when it is posted online on the Guide. Your program will be nationally recognized as an example of how successful and effective language learning and teaching programs can be designed and managed across the U.S. Your effort will “show the way” to a better and more inclusive system of language education in this country.

Remarks:The program has a very strong leader, Ashok Ojha, who is highly involved with the heritage language field and a Language Representative with the Coalition of Community-Based Heritage Language Schools. It serves students in elementary, middle, and high school. Classes are taught online, so students across the United States can participate. In pursuit of the goals of the national Commission on Language Learning of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the America’s Languages Working Group and its Fellows have established the online Guide to Exemplary Programs and Practices in U.S. Language Education.We believe that by displaying ‘exemplary’ programs in this Guide, students, parents, administrators, employers, and policy makers can see for themselves how language education can be made more accessible and effective for all who need and desire it.
We strongly encourage you complete and submit the Application by using the link listed below. The submitted application will be reviewed by the America’s Languages Fellows, who are distinguished teachers, administrators and scholars in language education from around the nation and are charged with selecting the programs in the Guide as a nationally recognized ‘exemplary programs.’

Please keep this email so that you can use the link provided to access your application form and continue to complete the remaining questions.
