Attendees to Sixth International Hindi Conference, The Consulate General of India, 3 East 64 Street, NY NY 10065 must reach the venue between 5-6 PM on Friday October 25, 2024 to attend the Inaugural event. Please show your ID at the door.
The highlights of the two-day event include a reception dinner hosted by the Consul General of India, NYC; A variety of topics related to the overarching theme of ‘Innovation in Hindi Instruction’ on the second day, October 26; and a concluding event to recognize the support of various organizations and individuals followed by dinner.
प्रथम दिन (शुक्रवार, 25 अक्टूबर) के कार्यक्रम: शाम 5 बजे से पंजीकरण, शाम 6 बजे से बॉल रूम में उद्घाटन समारोह- स्वागत भाषण, संयोजकों द्वारा पूरे कार्यक्रम की रूपरेखा; कवि सम्मेलन और प्रधान कोंसुल जनरल की तरफ़ से भोज समारोह । कवि सम्मेलन की अध्यक्षता डॉक्टर बिजोय मेहता करेंगे ।
दूसरे दिन (शनिवार-26 अक्टूबर) के कार्यक्रम: सम्मेलन की मुख्य अकादमिक गतिविधियों, प्रस्तुतियों, का आयोजन सबेरे 9 बजे से शाम 5 बजे तक किया जाएगा । कुल आठ सत्र प्रस्तावित हैं, जिनमें प्रत्येक सत्र लगभग 90 मिनट का होगा । प्रस्तुतियों और चर्चाओं-परिचर्चाओं के विषय और उनका विस्तृत समायोजन ‘अकादमिक समिति’ करेगी। शाम 6 बजे से समापन समारोह होगा जिसमें सम्मेलन की मुख्य उपलब्धियों, भावी कार्यक्रमों तथा सम्मेलन सहयोगियों को सम्मानित किया जाएगा ।

The academic activities of the conference, presentations, will be held in the Ball Room, The Consulate General of India, 3 East, 64 St. NY NY 10065 from 8:30 am to 5 pm. The Closing ceremony will be held from 6 pm.

Director of the Hindi Urdu Program and a Senior lecturer at Columbia University, Dr. Ranjan became the first member of South Asian Studies to receive the Lenfest Distinguished Columbia Faculty Award at Columbia in 2023 for excellence in his service as a teacher, scholar, and mentor within and outside the classroom.

Radha Ramdeen has been a Bharatanatyam dancer for 15 years. She was born in New York and raised in New Jersey. Radha completed her arangetram in 2019 under the guidance of Smt. Rekha Srinivasan. She is the Co-Founder of The Hindu Diaspora, a non-profit organization based in New York.
